A prepaid meter is an electricity meter that takes payment before use. The Referans REF.SM.01 (single-phase) and REF.TP.01 (three-phase) are communicating meters: they connect to Microsis systems over RS-485 and optical port and are monitored centrally. The single- and three-phase Köhler and Baylan models are non-communicating prepaid meters; credit is loaded by card.

We can also supply other brands and models as needed.

Benefits for users

  • Collection: Payment comes before use.
  • Field work: With no debt building up, no team goes out for disconnections or debt follow-up.
  • For the subscriber: A fixed price applies until credit runs out. The meter warns when credit is low and when it runs out, and emergency credit prevents a cut-off.
  • Loading: Credit is loaded with an RFID card.
  • Generator: At sites with generators, the input circuit lets generator consumption be billed on a separate tariff.
